corporate event management hollandYou probably know about the romantic canals, the ever-present bicycles and the exciting nightlife, but what about the historical monuments, museums and galleries with a wide range of old and contemporary art, arts and antiques quarters and numerous other places of interest.

You can shop until you drop in Amsterdam. The 10,334 shops, 141 galleries, 165 antique shops and 26 markets ensure you will find something to your liking.

The Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Beurs van Berlage, Rembrandt House, these are but some of the attractions that await you in Amsterdam. Hire a canal bike, or make a trip along the canals by canal boat. It's the best way to see the city, looking up at Amsterdam from water level is breathtaking.

Amsterdam is a sparkling city, especially if you visit one of the factories of The Amsterdam Diamond Group. Not only can you see Diamonds being cut crafted and polished, but you can buy one too!

Visit Anne Frank's house on The Prinsengracht Canal. Ok, so you've read the book and seen the film, but actually visiting the house in person is an overwhelming emotional experience. A sliding bookcase marks the entrance to the cramped rooms in which, with the help of friends who risked everything, Anne and her family hid for over two years.

Shop until you drop at Bijenkorf. It's the Dutch 'Harvey Nichols'. Holland is home to some really great young fashion designers and you'll find the best of them here. Dutch style really is something to be marvelled at. Van Gogh's Sunflowers. Yes, you've seen it on a million postcards and in a myriad of books but seeing it for real is another thing. The almost savage yet considered brushwork, the use of colour that literally radiates sunshine: an artistic icon. Looking at it really does make you feel happy!

Rest your poor worn out feet, relax and enjoy a coffee at Café Luxembourg. It's a great place to people watch, check out the model wannabes or starched white aprons of the waiters! It's also like stepping back in time to a bygone era.

The Hague

The traditional seat of Holland's Royal family and Government, The Hague never fails to impress visitors with its relaxed, elegant atmosphere.

Its combination of city culture, with the coastal resorts of Scheveningen and Kijkduin, enhances its unique quality. The city also houses many green areas, elegant palaces and parliament buildings and it's ideally situated for a visit to historic Delft.

The Hague has an excellent choice of restaurants. Due to the international atmosphere of the city, you will find a range of restaurants to tempt every palate.

Fresh seafood dishes are one of The Hague's specialities due to its close proximity to the sea. Most restaurants are fairly centrally located, along one of the cobbled streets or leafy squares.

Rotterdam

Multicultural, cutting edge and buzzing with energy, Rotterdam gives us a thrilling glimpse of how major cities will be in the future. Over the last few years, the world's biggest harbour has transformed itself. This huge port-cum-futuropolis with its state-of-the-art buildings and high tech boulevards, is very unlike Holland's other cities. The old harbour is very Dutch and delightful, with a picturesque setting and lots of cosmopolitan café's. Glance in a different direction though and you will see the futuristic cube house loom over the traditional housetops!

Whatever your interests are, whatever you want to do, there's always plenty of things going on in this lively, cosmopolitan city. The Boymans van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam Zoo and Euromast are only a few examples, and what about taking a tour around the attractive buildings or the world famous harbour.

You will be amazed at the number of possibilities the city has to offer. The city is an important breeding ground for youth culture and is considered to be the capital of musical trends such as Hip-Hop. The city has a number of larger dance clubs, which enjoy national fame and music varies from Dance to Trance to R&B.

No city has as many different tastes as Rotterdam. The multicultural composition of the city's population is fully expressed in the selection of domestic and exotic food available.
