For example a typical winter programme in Finland includes:

Day 1. The Arrival

Arrival to Rovaniemi airport in the Arctic Circle Local guide dressed in a traditional costume welcomes the group Transfer of luggage to the Hotel/ luggage portage into the rooms All guests to change into full safari outfits at the airport.

Snowmobile driving instructions and safety rules. Departure on the snowmobiles from the airport, the trail takes us through the snow-covered landscapes to the Forest Manor, where dinner is served in the beautiful old renovated Log Manor. After the dinner continue by snowmobiles to the Hotel.

Day 2. Full Day Snowmobile Safari, visit to the Reindeer Farm and to the Husky Farm

Scandinavian buffet breakfast at the hotel -meet Arctic Safaris guide. Depart for a snowmobile safari through the snow-covered Lapland scenery. Driving along the frozen rivers and lakes, over the rugged fells, through the snowy forests. The trail leads to the Reindeer Farm, where, upon arrival all guests are involved in the mysterious Arctic Circle crossing ceremony. The personalised certificates will be delivered later at the farewell dinner. Then everyone can try their skills at reindeer driving and obtain an official driver's licence. 

Lapp lasso casting and tobogganing is also tried. Traditional Lappish lunch is served at the farm. Later in the afternoon visit the Husky Farm, which shows how these lovely arctic animals survive. Upon arrival, the first welcome is the barking of friendly Siberian huskies. The host of the farm and the safari guides explain the nature and training of the huskies who truly love the cold as well as working with the sledge. Everybody will drive and ride in a sledge pulled by a dog team. Return late afternoon to Rovaniemi Non stop saunas in disposal of the group at the hotel.

Day 3. Lappish Olympic Games

Scandinavian breakfast buffet at the hotel Departure by coach to the Arctic Circle for Winter Games, fun and entertainment. The participants will be placed into teams followed by: Grand opening of the games which include: mini skidoo racing, quad racing, rally driving, Lapp lasso casting, tandem skiing, Ice golf, sled competition, racquet relay racing. Hot beverages available all the time around fires. Outdoor lunch served during the games or use of log cabin if cosy warm lunch is required! Evening: Coach transfer to Snowland. 

The dinner will be served in a real Igloo. The Snowland area is illuminated with fires and lanterns and the waiters wear homespun dresses. The meal is served in the igloo on real ice tables, sitting on snow benches covered with reindeer pelts. Suggested Menu: Creamy smoked reindeer/or beef and blue cheese soup with parsley Fried salmon with cloudberry cream sauce, sliced potatoes and vegetables Grandmother's hot sweet bread pudding with custard Coffee.

Day 4.

Free Morning Mid afternoon transfer to the airport. Finnair flight to Helsinki / London - arriving local UK time (on the latest flights) at either circa 17.00 or 20.00.
